What Is Breathwork?



Breathwork is the practice of intentionally controlling your breathing patterns to shift your physical, emotional, and mental state. It’s a tool that’s been used for centuries across cultures — from ancient yogic practices to modern therapeutic techniques.


Unlike everyday unconscious breathing, breathwork is intentional. There are many types of breathwork and breathing techniques such as box breathing, or holotropic breathwork. But at the core the purpose of breathwork is to change how you feel.


The type of breathwork I practice is based on Transformational breathwork. In this method we stick to a two count inhale and one count exhale. This pattern is so powerful because it energizes and activates you by increasing the amount of oxygen in your body, keeps you from checking out, increases your life force, and helps break old breathing patterns.


Breathwork can get you in contact with your subconscious, unveiling lodged emotions and memories, through the breath this old stagnant energy can move through your body and finally be released out for good.


Through consistent practice this method will connect you to your higher self, unblock negative beliefs and naturally create a positive and loving relationship with yourself. It’s possible to experience higher states of consciousness and receive clarity on your life once you break through limiting beliefs. All this is possible as soon as your first session!
